our precious pumpkin

So, obviously our baby is getting to be less and less of a baby. :) /  :(   its a mixed emotion for sure. I know I am a proud mama and that will never change. Today, my sissy and I made some videos of Ireland doing a couple of her favorite signs and some of her favorite words.  I tried to rush the first ones, because when she sees the camera, she shuts off and wont sign. And today she was.... for a limited time, so I took full advantage and crammed a few in. Daniel edited them all together for one short clip. let me explain the end..... she was pitching a huge fit because I wouldn't let her have my sisters phone. In the middle of her tantrum she... well you will just have to see! (you will need to mute my music on the bottom right of the screen)

It's starting!

So I get emails from this baby site and it tells me how old Ireland is in weeks and an idea what to expect. Last week it said they will start taking off their clothes and diapers. I laughed and was like: ha ha Ireland doesn't even act like she wants her clothes or diaper off. well that all was up until today! We have this new video surveillance thing for her room, and if she is up or fussy I can see she is ok, and don't need to go in there. Because if she sees me, she will start bawling and want to get out. I have heard of people putting them in their kids rooms and it is awesome! Anyway, so I am so sure she is sound asleep because outside her door she is silent, so I turn on my tv to check it out. She is not only wide awake, but pulling her arms out of her sleeves! I am glad I didn't go in her room, I just watched her try to escape out of her shirt, then lay down and fall asleep. what a weirdo!

kisses, fun, and a big-little girl. part 1

the shirt says it all: hip & cool

ok, now about this. see her poor pigtails? her hair is so curly it wont stay in.  but they are too cute in the front. so i just let it fall out and be curly? any ideas how to get it to stay in? Her hair fits when its wet, but those curls pop right out.

mom, I am just big ok?

the ONLY reason she will get her bink is we keep it cold for teething. She has been off the bink since three months old. But sometimes, I just think she looks so cute with it!

She is very affectionate. we get MANY (open mouth) kisses a day. she loves to kiss

this pic is cool cause she is trying to run. really. she just goes so fast

multi-tasking like mommy. She copies me. we were watching a movie, I was making hair bows (yes all across my living room!) texting, and watching her. As you can see

once again, she manages to astonish me. How does she sleep like these crazy ways I find her?? It seems every other day she is all weird in there. I took out her (adorable) crib bumpers months ago to avoid suffocation

what a doll. even cuter than all the ones behind her

part deux

Daniel and his princess. well, I mean his other princess.

One of my favorite things, singing time! Now I can  not sing, but I know a ton of songs from when I used to teach pre school.

Ireland has a secret.  shhhh!!

forced Broncos fan! My family loves that team, and my buddy Pedro brought his helmet over, Ireland was less than pleased that I had her put it on for pics.

Can't find the baby? try looking in Daniel's office. always typing away. And look at the effort! On her tippy toes and everything

reading. obviously

giving her kiss # 4, 987 for the day

She wants to show you all her teeth

Drama/Trauma

So I just had a small drama/trauma. (Does that even make sense?)  Anyway, so I have been making Ireland's hair bows for  while now, and I was in major "make bow" mode last night and today because  I love to, but also people have been asking me to make some. So anyway, off and on since last night, I have been hot glue-ing like a crazy person, occasionally getting some hot glue on my finger, which is not a big deal. BUT tonight I was so just wanting to be done and racing through this last one, (oh, by the way, YES I need to tell long details for one thing)  :)  So I laid a strip of ribbon down, ran hot glue across it and was going to pick it up and quickly put it on the clippy because the glue dries fast. So I wasn't even thinking and stuck my thumb in the big glob of  hot glue on the ribbon, which actually really hurt this time. I, in a panic tried to fling the ribbon off my thumb, and the WHOLE piece of ribbon-with all that glue- flipped up and stuck to my hand, and then trying to get it off, the metal clippy got caught in this and had glue on it, and that dumb thing stuck to my other hand. luckily the glue dries fast. but OW! it hurt. LOL. whew! I was exhausted just typing it and remembering it. Sorry for my novel, just had to share. Luckily all my fingers and hands feel fine, but one finger did burn enough to blister. yuck. So while you are laughing at me and thinking of ways I could have avoided this mess... just smile and be glad that I could make everyone aware of what NOT to do.

We are no longer friends

signs

So Ireland has learned to use sign language really well to tell us what she wants. She really does know what they mean, like when she is hungry, she will just walk right up to me and sign "eat". if I am looking away and forgetting to give her more bites, she just sits there calmly signing "more" she also knows the signs for: night night, I love you, fan, ball, thank you, owee, eat, drink, banana, shoes, all done, outside, please and she does them very well. that is all I can remember, oh and Daniel is also teaching her "diaper". teaching myself how to sign and having daniel help me sign with Ireland is paying off! She is so very smart and can communicate when she can't seem to say the words. once again, I LOVE his chick!
