Didn't know if you could tell

That I love Ireland. Really, do I make that obvious? lol. She is only mentioned in every other post if not all of them. She is AMAZING. There are very, very few times where I wonder if I can be a good mom to 2 kids, or if I can handle it. For the most part I am So excited to see my kids interact with each other. my hope is that the girls are close like my sister and me. I hope they are kind to each other and support each other. I think they will. Sisters are the best! This post is pretty random. I was going to do vacation pics but saw these and it made me think (and slightly emotional) so here they are:

My little helper

Oh! her newest favorite:

can you guess what they are watching?!
every single day she asks to watch barney. I kid you not. Why?! why does it have to be him? ha ha ha

Also every single day Ireland asks to go outside. She goes for walks and to play at LEAST twice. How could I say no?? The weather is amazing and she is getting exercise, sun and is learning too. She will spot the TINIEST bug and go "I see bug!!" and squat down to watch him. Sometimes our whole walks are bug watching.

Here is another park adventure:

I have so much fun with this girl (even when she has a little attitude problem lol) she makes us smile. She makes everyone smile! no matter where we are she smiles and waves at EVERYONE and says hi or hello to all of them. What a social butterfly we have. look out boys ha ha. but seriously, Ireland, no boys for a while k?

A day to remember

Aww Memorial Day. This day growing up- sadly didn't have much meaning to me. I didn't really know any one who had passed away, and didn't really get why it was so big. Each year I am getting it more and more. More so since my sweet Grandpa passed away. ( I hate saying passed away or died... how about... went to Heaven)

Every year my family goes to the cemetery to visit my grandpa's grave (that sounds bad too. how about.... we went to visit my grandpa) We hear the bagpipes and sit around and just remember.

It makes me happy to know my daughters were so recently with my Grandpa when they were Heaven right before they came to our family. I just know he was bouncing them on his knee as he did so many times with us. I am not so sure if he is playing jokes in Heaven now. But knowing him, he is :)  He would hang us upside down over the banister/wall thing and let us go and catch us again. SO scary when we were little but it sounds fun now. Also how he would trap us and we had to "push the button" which was really just a kiss and he would let us go.

I have so many fun memories of my Grandpa. I wished the last times we saw him he wasn't so sick. He died very sick and that will never leave me, but neither will all the fun memories. Even his funeral was fun (ok that sounds wrong,  but we made it very special) My grandpa went to heaven 4 days before his 70th birthday so on his actual birthday was the funeral. We let off balloons and sang happy birthday. The men from the army came and did their presentation. It was very neat. You know when they carry the casket under the men in uniforms  holding their guns? well my grandpa was brought under all the men in uniform holding golf clubs. LOL. He would have LOVED that!!

Anyway, what a special day we have today to just sit and think of our families. Sure miss you Gramps! we love you

Ireland watching the bagpipes played

didn't take her long to get up and start dancing. She is not too shy :) give her any music and she is all over that!

One of the men kept stomping his foot... so Ireland did too!

It was hard to capture great shots. I was using my cell phone because my camera died :(

Hand me downs? Snow in my house?

Since Ireland is my first kid I am not sure if this is normal or not. If it is, then let me pretend its not because I think it is funny. Ireland is wearing hand me down clothes....... from herself. Almost every single outfit Ireland wore last summer fits her now. Some are too big! Like shorts she wore all last summer fall off of her when she walks now! Now I know kids thin out but aren't they supposed to grow too? Maybe this happens to every kid, but can I say I am for sure not complaining. Saves me a ton. I think at the very least, it is fun to compare pics of when she was wearing them then and now.

August 08

May 09 (yes she is standing on her movie case that she knows is a no no)

I don't know when this was but the outfit still fits her and I just thought this pic of my bald baby is SOOOO adorable

Ok, about the "snow in my house"

well we live in the basement and have a huge cement staircase to come down to get here and the last few weeks the wind brought in cotton. Tons and tons of cotton. It whirls around in the stair well and looks like snow. Every single time you open the door "snow" comes in and welcomes itself in my home. LUCKILY it has stopped (knock on wood) and hopefully won't be back. but here are some pics of our front door step a week ago

(this is over the drain the balloons are waiting to be popped after a party)

Our door mat after I just cleaned it

More "snow"

Ha ha! anyway, we are back from our trip and I will post about that soon, as well as posts about other random events.

*Here is some sad, sad, sad news. On day ONE of our vacation my camera died. RIP wonderful camera. I don't know what happened or why, but it won't work. AND daniel didn't have his batteries charged for his AND my sister's only took super dark pics even in the sun for some reason. THANK GOODNESS Megan's camera stuck it through and allowed me a million pics of our trip. So all the pics I do for a while will be on HER camera    *dramatic sigh*

Oh, I had my pre natal massage done today at "The Spa Club" thanks to my wonderful husband!  It was soooo relaxing and very much appreciated. It made my headache go away for a little bit and my back didn't hurt for a few hours! yay! Thank goodness I have a wonderful, thoughtful hubby huh?! :)

I doubt any one is still reading at this point. it was pretty long. ha ha if you are: have a wonderful weekend!

Oh My!!

Yippee!! I went to the dr today and he scheduled my induction. I go in on June 29th!!! That is so soon! Oh My. Its only 5 days sooner than my original "due date" so not that far off. I cannot believe in a little over a month I will be holding my princess in my arms! Wow! I am so excited. She may come early so who knows.

On the right side of my blog I have a ticker that says how far along I am. I am changing the date to my induction date just so I can see exactly how many days we have left. This is going to go by so fast I imagine.

Lot's of new posts to come!!

To my child

I have had this on my myspace forever. I just re read it tonight and it made me smile and  cry but most of all it made me APPRECIATE! ENJOY:

To my child.....

Just for the morning, I am going to smile when I see your face and
laugh when I feel like crying.

Just for this morning, I will let you choose what you want to wear,
and smile and say how perfect it is.

Just for this morning, I am going to step over the laundry, and pick
you up and take you to the park to play.

Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let
you teach me how to put that puzzle of yours together.

Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and keep the
computer off, and sit with you in the backyard and blow bubbles.

Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a tiny
grumble when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck, and I
will buy you one if he comes by.

Just for this afternoon, I won't worry about what you are going to
be when you grow up, or second guess every decision I have made
where you are concerned.

Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies, and I
won't stand over you trying to fix them.

Just for this afternoon, I will take us to Mc Donald's and buy us
both a Happy Meal so you can have both toys.

Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you a
story about how you were born and how much I love you.

Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the tub and not get
angry.

Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit on
the porch and count all the stars.

Just for this evening, I will snuggle beside you for hours, and miss
my favorite TV shows.

Just for this evening when I run my finger through your hair as you
pray, I will simply be grateful that God has given me the greatest
gift ever given.

I will think about the mothers and fathers who are searching for
their missing children, the mothers and fathers who are visiting
their children's graves instead of their bedrooms, and mothers and
fathers who are in hospital rooms watching their children suffer
senselessly, and screaming inside they can't handle it anymore.

And when I kiss you goodnight I will hold you a little tighter, a
little longer. It is then, that I will thank God for you, and ask
him for nothing, except one more day.............

Sometimes I think that we get to involved in our daily routines that we tend to forget
what great gifts our children really are. We never know if God is
going to give us one more day.

Ireland- you are my world. My life, my light. Such an amazing joy to your daddy and me. You will be a great big sister. You are the funniest happiest, silliest, sassiest chick, and we could not be more proud of you and be more grateful to be your mom and dad. Heavenly Father knew what he was doing by sending you to us. You make our family PERFECT!

Growing and growing!

So There is a lot of growing going on in this house! I am now 31 weeks! Technically I have 9 weeks left. I guarantee she won't be here any later than 8.

I had my ultrasound last week and the problem I "may have had"  fixed itself, and mommy and baby are fine!

Miss Leighton is over 3 lbs now! And spending all her time in my back and or ribs.

Here is a tummy shot. I have some cute bare belly shots with Ireland kissing my tummy , but not sure I am brave enough to put them up :)

(Don't mind the balloons. A boy I watch, Parker had his birthday friday and we threw him a party!)

More growing..... Miss Ireland is growing for sure. More mentally though, lol. (she still can wear clothes from last summer!) but she sure is getting smart. She says 3 word sentences regularly and her favorites are: I scare you (whenever something scares her she says that) and she says I get you! then chases us. she also has been saying I love you for a while and says, take it off, open it please,

oh I can't even remember all the things she says but its too cute. I need to remember them all and put them on here for my journaling purposes.

Ireland can say the alphabet letters A-G and can partially sign them. She can count to ten..... if she feels like it!

Her new favorite thing is naming stuff. She uses the word "and" a lot  which is cute for some reason to me. She walks around saying my daddy and momma and papa and binky and.... she likes to list stuff she eats too.

That's all I can think of.  Besides the fact that she is smart and catching onto things and repeating words I didn't know she heard or could say :)  oops.

Ireland we love you!
