I bought some recently and I am desperate!!
Have you tried it before or know someone who has? Did it work?
I will do everything in my power to try to make breast milk for this new baby!
After 2 failed breastfeeding attempts with my 2 daughters and learning I only make the watery part of the milk (maybe 2 oz total a day!)
I have tried every tip, idea, or secret. I have met with lactation specialists, pediatricians, obstetricians, and read every thing online I could find. I am determined but was wondering if this is the way to go.
It is supposed to be healthy and natural.
if you can, comment here. I don't care if you go anonymous. or you can email me mandikins19@gmail.com
thanks!

Fenugreek is a really great herb. I used it with both of my kids and have numerous friends that have/do use it. First start by taking two tablets three times a day until you see an increase in milk. Then once the milk is sustained, you can slowly wean off of it. It will not hurt the baby at all. If anything fenugreek acts to calm the tummy and that's never a bad thing with a newborn. Keep trying, someone once told me that breastfeeding is like marry a man, you have to be seriously committed to make it work! I randomly came across your blog by the way-hope you don't mind :)
thank you! Do you know when I start taking it? Should I start before I have baby to get it going? or wait until she is born?
I loved fenugreek, I used it after I got sick while nursing my first daughter. It worked overnight. Other great things to try are eat tons of oatmeal, drink lots and lots of water. These things will keep your milk production up. I wouldn't take the fenugreek until after the baby is born, your milk should come in within four days after birth. You'll know then if you need the extra help. Good luck!!
Oh and I found your blog through a friend :)
I used it occassionally if I felt my supply was too low and it does work. As someone else said, lots of water (at least 64oz/day) and oatmeal can help as well. Just FYI, it can make you smell like maple syrup though :) I have no idea why but it does! And don't take it until after she is born and your milk has come in. I wouldn't even take it right away until you knew that you weren't making enough. Also, keep in mind if you give her any formula after she is born it can effect your supply. So breastfeed and pump only, it will establish a good supply. I am sure you have been told these things, but thought I would offer my two cents :) You can do it, Mandi. And if not, don't worry about it! She will be a healthy beautiful baby girls like her sissys!
